I help people remember how to be neighbors, at work, in their communities, and across every divide.

About Sophia

Sophia Fifner is the creator of The Neighboring Gap™ a research-backed framework for the connection crisis inside today's workplaces and communities.

She has spent nearly two decades in the rooms where this problem lives: the U.S. Senate, a Fortune 500 foundation, city government, and national philanthropy (where she has raised and stewarded more than $470 million), and now as President & CEO of the Columbus Metropolitan Club, one of the country's premier civic forums, where her job, every single week, is getting people who disagree to stay in the room and leave changed.

In every one of those rooms she kept seeing the same thing: good strategies, real intentions, and still, the trust wasn't there. The solutions kept getting bigger; the gap kept growing. That's when she realized we weren't missing a better program. We'd forgotten how to be neighbors.

We didn't lose our neighbors.

We stopped being one.

sparking joy and connection one step at a time.
